A few things that you should think about for your kayak fishing setup.  These items will definately make your life easier out on the water.  From keeping the boat under control, to being safe, you should think about adding a few of these to your arsenal.

- Fishing Crate : This item usually includes a couple rod holders, and a spot for a few tackle cases.  Made out of milk crates most of the time, however I have seen some nice ones made of PVC.  Just remember that PVC cracks in the FLorida sunlight.
- Rod Holders : You can also add some flush mount, or ram rod fishing pole holders to your kayak fishing setup.  The flush mounted ones are cheaper, at wally world around $6.  The RAM mounts are around $20, but you only need 1, maybe 2.  I keep them on my dashboard to put the rod in while I am paddling.  The flush mounts are good for trolling.
- Paddle Leash : Definately a must have.  If you’ve never lost a paddle, and you don’t have one of these, plan on losing a paddle.  It is that simple.  You can also set the paddle down on the water while you are fighting a fish, and if you position it right, it will place itself against the side of the kayak, out of the way.  Pretty slick stuff.
